£6 million paid and for what?
« on: January 25, 2012, 10:33:13 AM »
Now I'm no expert, but the fact as I see it - from totally outside the situation being no member of the Fire Brigade Union, within the Royal Berkshire Fire Authority  or part of the council - is that we, the council tax payers of Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, are paying £6 million a year so that the Royal Berkshire Fire Authority can subsidise the operation in Wokingham....
If I'm wrong then I'll be happy to get corrected but if I'm right this just gets my blood boiling because of the unjust nature of the "deal" here.

Is it not time for the council to take this £6 million and spend it on a decent locally run service? Get someone else in to run our fire service?
