On the 02 February a call was received to an automatic fire alarm operating at the Slough Holiday Inn, Church Street, Chalvey. (Incident Number 10856)

This turned out to be a fire upon an upper floor requiring the attendance of 4 pumping appliances and a Control Unit.

At 19-27 hours, both of the Slough appliances plus Langley were mobilised. Further resources were required and WINDSOR was subsequently mobilised too.

But wait a minute! That was Windsor attending a serious incident upon Sloughs station area? Are Slough not meant to be covering Windsor in the future if the station is closed at night? And, who will back Slough up in the future when they require additional emergency resources?
