In 2005, TWO Hertfordshire Firefighters and a resident died in a fire in a high rise flat. The Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service are presently, as a result of the outcomes of that incident, re-training all operational Firefighters in such procedures.

A very senior Brigade Manager has recently been visiting White Watch at Windsor and the Retained Section at Bracknell.
Rather bullishly he has stated that if Windsor Firefighters dare (!) to continue their successsful campaign to stop the station being CLOSED at night, he will press for plans to FULLY CLOSE the station!!!

On the night of Saturday 02 August a serious road traffic collision occurred on the A308 outside of the Oakley Court Hotel. One man was killed and a woman was seriously injured. A full extrication was required from the wreckage.
This was Windsors station ground, but Slough and Maidenhead attended.
