The Brigade and Burma: What’s the difference?
October 26th, 2007 · 2 Comments · Uncategorized
A few weeks ago a particularly nasty military regime in Burma resisted peaceful protests by monks and cleared the streets in a very heavy handed manner. However, they didn’t want the world to see what they were doing, so they turned off mobile communication links because folk were taking and sending photographs of their misdeeds. [...]

Judicial Review by the High Court.

It had to happen: The ‘public consultation’ concerning the night closure of Windsor Fire station was nothing more than a sham. Well advertised? Public meetings? Minutes of meetings? The opportunity to challenge? The people of Windsor had none of that.
In a subsequent wave of arrogance the decision was made to remove an emergency service from [...]

Mike,
Can I pass on fraternal greetings on behalf of Tayside Brigade Committee. We send our best wishes on the magnificent campaign you are conducting in Windsor. A comrade from Dundee was asked by his mother why he was going to fight the Fascists in Spain in 1937, he replied “ If I don’t go [...]

Michael
Please add my voice in support of Windsor retaining its 24 hour fire cover and for both you and all the guys who are fighting this unnecessary reduction in service. I did help collect 8,000 signatures in two days last year and continue to fight to oppose the proposed changes.
