There have been a number of car fires attended by WINDSOR firefighters recently.
ALL of them occurred during the critical night period:
16 September – Flemish Farm Road.
20 September – Longmead, Dedworth.
21 September – Tinkers Lane, Dedworth.
23 September – Meadow Lane, Eton.

On the 03rd September, the Windsor night crew were first to attend an incident at Osborne Road, Windsor. The flats are just around the corner from the fire station, so the appliance was there within seconds.

Tonight the Windsor crews were called to a grass fire at Graystoke Road in Slough. Children had been setting fires.

Night Time Nightmare

Fires at night are particularly dangerous: people are asleep and may be overcome by smoke and fumes, and fires go undetected longer.
If Windsor is downgraded at night, the theory is that Slough will cover their expansive station ground (Central Windsor, West Windsor, Fifield, Winkfield, The Great Park,Old Windsor and south Datchet).
