Here are the calls attended WITHIN the WINDSOR station area from 20-22 July 2007. Most, but not all, have arisen as a result of adverse weather. The Windsor service was busy and additional resources were called in, but even they became stretched to a point whereby NO appliances were available.

Windsor Firefighters Fill the Gap.

At 05-31 hours this morning, there was a serious house fire at The Myrke, Slough. A flashover occurred whilst the elderly occupant was asleep. The blast blew the whole of the kitchen window out, which was found several metres away.
Both of the Slough appliances were unable to attend since they were at another call.

Fire Service resources in East Berkshire were certainly stretched the other day…The 18th July to be precise.
Langley was at a large field fire at Iver and Slough was busy too.
